The Problem
The challenge was to create a primarily non textual output for the creation of an essay topic of your choosing. It could have less than 500 words, but had to be a physical outcome.
The Solution
My approach was to focus on the idea of amateur art, and the negative connotations that follow, despite the status of amateur being synonymous with passion without the requirement of skill. I decided that a zine, known for its low budget and passion for topic, would be the best output for the project. Created using coloured pencil and pasted image, giving the impression of work of the amateur.
